Summer time-The G or the city

It's summer time once again and my first in Grambling. The heat is so excruciating that my air conditioning has become redundant. By now, one would have expected an investment into a fan or some other cooling apparatus; people, it's August and I'm still singing the blues about the heat, I can even go as far as saying that some level of acquaintance has been met. It's not that bad after all. The trees give me their shade of which I am privileged to have.
Imagine having to bare this kind of heat in a heavily populated town or city synonymous with concrete jungle. A place where those on the extreme ends of the age spectrum are so vulnerable. The poisonous carbon monoxide emissions join forces with CO2 gases and conspire against the humans to torture them and ensure that their demise is a slow and painful one. The traverse of one city block by foot is made so arduous that the bus becomes man's best friend. Ahhh...and as if that was not enough, talk about those buildings decked in glass whose sole responsibility is it to reflect the sun's rays upon anyone who dares cross its path. With the convince of city life comes the inconvenience of summer in the city. I chose well, I decided to stay in grambling.
